During most of the year, we offer daily tours, but not every tour is offered every day. Check our calendar for availability.

Reservations are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice. If you are within 48 hours of your tour start time, you may reschedule, subject to availability, but will be charged a $20 rebooking fee per person.

We have limited spots available on our tours. When you book your tour, we hold a spot just for you. When you want to reschedule your tour with 48 hours or less of tour start time, it is unlikely that we will be able to resell the spot we were holding for you.

Tours are all-inclusive! You only need to bring yourself, some comfortable clothing, a personal water bottle* and we do the rest, including photos!
*we have reusable cycling water bottles and Gatorade for purchase. Tour and rental customers receive a discount of 20% off!

Tours run rain or shine unless the weather is too dangerous to ride in. If that happens, we’ll contact you with rescheduling options. (Rebooking fee does not apply if we cancel the tour).

You can book any tour on city/hybrid bike or E-bike. if you book a city bike and decide you’d rather tour on an E-bike, upgrades are available onsite! Please note you must be at least 16 years and at least 5 ft tall to ride an electric bike.

Traffic in Boston is heavy and unpredictable, so please plan accordingly! You must arrive 30 minutes prior to tour time to check in and get fitted for your bike. Tours DEPART the shop at the designated tour time. If you do not arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour time, you are considered to be late. If you are late, you will not be able to join the tour and will not receive a refund or credit for your tour. Late arrivals can not be caught up to the tour.

Although we welcome riders with a variety of riding confidence and experience, we ask that our tour guests have some experience riding a bicycle prior to joining one of our tours as we ride with city traffic at different portions of the tour route.
Bike Rentals FAQ

Our most common rental is a city / hybrid bike, but we also have a electric pedal assist bikes for rent and a wide variety of off-road and road bikes. Of course, we also offer kid’s rentals bikes and attachments. Check our rentals page for all of options.

Yes, we rent 20” and 24” kids bikes, as well as child seats, trailers, and tag-a-longs.

All of our rental bikes come with optional helmets, locks, lights, and flat tire repair kits at no additional charge. Just ask!

If you arrive any time during open shop hours on the date of your bike rental, you are not late. You may pick up your bike rental at any time while we are open. Your rental period will begin from the time that you leave the shop. If you have indicated that you’ll arrive at 10am and realize that you will arrive closer to 11am, it’s ok! You do not need to call the shop to let us know – just show up when you can!

A full day rental is 24 hours from the time you pick up your rental. If you book for a full day rental, you may arrive to pick up your bike at any time during shop hours on the day of your rental. You may return your bike any time up to 24 hours later. Please note: we are not able to provide credits or refunds for unused time.

No, please return your rental at least 30 minutes prior to closing. See hours here. Customers are charged $100 if they return the rental equipment during our closing hours and are left outside our shop.

If you lock your bike properly and keep it inside overnight as recommended, this is unlikely to happen. However, you are responsible for your bike and all rental equipment once you leave the shop.

Flats happen. Here are your options if you get a flat tire during your rental.

Yes! Please just come back to the shop and ask our staff about pricing.

We offer a same day bike rental for GoBoston card holders. Pick your bike up anytime after 9am and return it by 5pm. We do not take reservations for your GoBoston bike rental; please just show up at the shop and present your pass. Your bike rental includes a lock, helmet, and map.

A majority of the local hotels in Boston will allow their guests to store their bicycles in their hotel rooms or they may have a separate storage area for them but it is wise to call them ahead of time to ask and confirm.
